The Castle Ivengless

The Castle Ivengless is book three of The Velvet Bag Memoirs. During a summer vacation, ten-year-old twins Asa and Prentiss Fallmark discover that they are going to use their sprite wings to fly across the ocean to their relativesa home, The Castle Ivengless, that is adjacent to the famous Stonehenge. Cousin sprites Sandy and Twinkletoes accompany them and they meet three more cousins: Queen Acacia, Queen Arabelle, and King Andron. The brother and sister discover that as a part of a rare breed, human sprites, they have many special powers. Explorations take them through a frightening Forest of Echoes and to the Cliffs of Noend, where they fiercely battle with the snevars, who have captured young Asa. The story ends in a suspenseful, unexpected outcome. The twins emerge from the summer older and much wiser, looking forward to the hints they receive regarding next summeras adventures.
