The Malay Archipelago

From 1854 to 1862 Russel traveled through the Malay, Singapore, and Indonesia. The book begins with a summary of Wallace's travels and the specimens he collected. Wallace describes the geography of the area including the volcanoes. The remainder of the book describes the people, their language, and customs.
