Only 63% of Canadians say they understand what genetically engineered foods are, but 71% of Canadians say they would avoid buying them. More than 780,000 people die every year from hepatitis B, a disease that attacks the liver. The genetically engineered vaccines for hepatitis B protects 95% of people who have it.
