Friendly Fire: Stories

The story of a young chemistry student who distinguishes himself from his compatriots by the lucidity with which he sees the vices and hypocrisies of the country. The other tales in the book bring the same vision of the traditional and ingrained behaviors of Egyptian society. They are critical narratives in relation to pride, the Muslim religion, marriage and extramarital relations, inefficiency and corruption, the cynicism of politics and a violent and suffocating educational system.
