A Celtic Psaltery

A Celtic Psaltery is a classic example of Celtic Twilight writings. This book was published in Britain during the height of the original troubles in Ireland, and was contemporary with writers such as W. B. Yeats and James Joyce. On one level this collection is a mish-mosh of Medieval writings translated into Modern English and Modern British writings included because, perhaps, at the heart of it all, the British see themselves as being Celtic-- seemingly like most of the rest of the world these days. All in all, this is an interesting little book with some nice prayers, invocations, charms, and memories. Any collector or lover of Celtia wouldn't go wrong owning a copy.
