This study explores Jurgen Moltmann's theology of hope from the perspective of ethics, and interprets his thinking in response to questions relevant to Christians living in 21st century, post-modern industrialized nations. the contextual essay establishes a foundation for the creative work by investigating the four themes which ground it: (1) history as the essential means for interpreting Christian ethics, (2) models of systematic theology, (3) political theology as a way of discerning God's plan, and (4) ethics in the 21st century.
