The Soul Shine Through The Surprising Spiritual Influences on Famous Artists

Did you know Van Gogh was a failed missionary? Did you know that Picasso made a bargain with God to stop creating art when he was 12 years old if the life of his sister would be spared? Did you know Andy Warhol attended Mass almost daily? Did you know one of the most revered paintings of the Crucifixion was done by Marc Chagall who was Jewish? In this book you will learn the answer to each of these questions is yes and it will change the way you see the work of these renowned artists. Knowing the story of each person who created the painting will give you a completely different appreciation for the work itself. Most assume that modern artists had no spiritual influence in their lives, since religion has been largely dismissed from the public square, but as you read these pages you will see that is not true. Knowing about the life of the artist will give you a different lens through which to see the work--a way to see spiritual influences even if they might not be immediately evident. Prepare to be surprised and delighted and to never look at the work of these artists the same way as before.
